Trucker hats, trail hats, visors, winter hats…Boco Gear has them all, along with the option to customize any of these hats. Out of this vast selection of headgear, I got to try out the Customized Boco Gear Run Hat for BibRave! Prior to trying this hat, I have already used other trucker hats and trail hats from Boco Gear, so I already knew I loved their gear, but how can you pass up a custom BibRave trail hat!!

Here are some of the trail hat specs from the Boco Gear website:

  • Lightweight wicking woven polyester material provides a layer of protection from mother nature on the front and top panels.
  • Dry Tech polyester mesh side panels keep your head cool for the length of your workout.
  • Soft polyester mesh wicking sweatband on the inside to help move sweat away from your head keeping you focused on the trail or road.
  • Adjustable back snap buckle with tuck in pocket for any excess keeping the back of your hat tidy.

I love running in hats, and have become a big fan of trail hats over the last year, so this hat made plenty of appearances while running during the Fall months. From treadmill, to trail, to paved roads, this hat has been through it all! So what are my thoughts?

The Style
If I’m not running in a hat, then I am running with a sweatband of some sort on my head. With this hat, it has a mesh wicking sweatband built into it, so I get the best of both worlds! This sweatband has worked great keeping sweat out of my eyes!

In addition to the sweatband, this hat has an oversized flat brim that I personally think is awesome!! The adjustable back to this hat makes it fit all sizes. Sometimes I like the hat to fit a little tighter (when I want to brim to pop up when wearing it) and sometimes I like it a little looser, so this easy to adjust strap helps make that change easy!

Compact
This is a soft top hat, so its easy to scrunch this hat up into a small ball (not so much the brim, but the rest of the hat) for transport or carry and will retain its shape when you put it on.

Easy to clean
You can easily make this hat clean again by rinsing under water and wringing the water out of it a few times. By just doing this one step my hat looks, and smells, like new!

Custom Design
I like that however I wear this hat, you are able to see the BibRave logo information, even under the brim!!

Even thought this style hat may be considered more of a trail hat, I love wearing this on my paved trail/road running. The Brim is oversized and can block the sun if needed from my eyes, or if worn backwards, can help block the sun from my neck.

If you are looking for a great fitting hat that is able to showcase the brand you are so fond of (i.e. BibRave for me!!) then check out the customized hat choices that Boco Gear has to offer!

Here are some thoughts from other BibRave Pros who tested the Boco Gear hat, along with others who tested the Boco Gear 360 Visor (Amy, Meridith, Jeannine, Lindsey, Angie, Vanessa, Jessica, Frank, Fallon, Gina, Emily)
