It’s that time of the year again. Winter is slowly winding down (and in Minnesota I do mean very slow) and I started to look at what races I may want to run this year. As I looked back over what I ran last year, and what I may want to run this year, I kept thinking about the Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k and how I know I can improve upon my performance from the previous year. My current marathon (Twin Cities Marathon) takes place on October 9, 2016. Continue reading “The Right Race at the Right Time”

Training Made ‘Social’

It seems like all winter I am ‘in between races’ and then when summer comes around I need to sign up for a race to get me back in shape. This year was no different. By the time the new year hit I was already signed up for two half marathons for the upcoming summer (Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon in Duluth MN in June, and the Lululemon Seawheeze Half Marathon in Vancouver BC Canada in August). My training for the first half marathon started in mid-February. This time I decided to do something CRAZY…I decided to actually train for this race!! Continue reading “Training Made ‘Social’”
